stereo problem
I have a 2002 Civic with stock Stereo. It has the anti-theft feature in it. Bought the car used without manuals. My battery died yesterday (wife left lights on) and when we got boosted the radio was asking for a code. My daughter randomly pressed some button and, voila, nothing but an error code on screen.
I suspect when there is no power to the radio for extended time, it assumes it was removed and wants a password to boot up again.
Question: How do I get the thing up and running again?
I sure don't want to have to replace a whole radio because of a drained battery.

RE: stereo problem
you need to remove the stereo, there is a sticker on the back of it, then take it to the dealer so they can look up the code for you. i recomend removing the stereo yourself instead of having the dealer do it, they charge around $50 just to pull it out. it only takes 5 min to remove it.
