Default Stereo question

Hello, I had a question about my stereo. Before, the sound was crystal clear and the beats in the music were bold and loud. After I got my car worked on by my stepdad, the stereo (Sony Xplod) doesn't sound as good anymore...the sound isn't as good as before and the beats no longer strong.
Can anyone help me figure out what the problem may be? What could have been changed or disconnected when he worked on my car? I literally no nothing about stereos or cars, so any information would be helpful.

Lol, I think it would be a good idea to tell us what he worked on first. Did he disconnect the battery? If so, maybe the sound presets were reset back to normal. Have messed with the EQ at all?

Do you have a sub in the car? Could have knocked the wires loose.
The EQ being reset is a highly likely possibility as stated above.

need more info.

Yes if you have a subwoofer setup make sure the sub amplifier (a separate part, usually mounted in the trunk near the sub) comes on, and that the head unit is configured for sub.
