stock or not keyless entry?

stock or not keyless entry?
I have a '99 LX M/T and it has the stock radio, but I'm aware the keyless entry goes through the radio. But I'm considering getting an aftermarket radio and was unsure whether my keyless entry was hooked up through it. I got the car used, and it didn't have keyless entry, but did at one point in time. It did have automatic locks, and the guy threw in a free code alarm keyless entry system when I got it. Now is that seperate from the radio, or is that just hooked up through the stock keyless entry system?
So basically all I know is that I have a pair of code alarm keyless entry remotes that I use and the radio is stock.

RE: stock or not keyless entry?
I'm relatively sure that 99-00 Civics had the stock keyless entry in a control box behind the drivers side kickpanel, NOT through the radio, like the 96-98. I'd say that if you have aftermarket keyless entry installed on that year Civic, it is very likely that it is completely separate from the radio, and that it's running through the stock wires.

well if you want to keep the stock keyless entry then i got 2 remote controls... $35bucks shiped and thiers yours...
they still work with aftermarket radios on the 99-00 civics mine still worked but i wanted a remote start paging alarm system so i no longer need these remotes....
