hey everyone

just wonderin if sumone out there mite be able to help me.

i own a civic eg9 SiR, and on the the front passenger side down in the foot area, on the left side sticking out of the carpet is a screw, and attatched to it is a black plastic clip, sorta like those clips that hold fire extinghishers, but not as big. im just curious to see if anybody knows what it is.

any help would be appreciated

Does your car have aftermarket floor mats? The thing you described sounds to me like the little clip that holds your stock floor mats in place. Think that could be it?

it might be for a road flare. Real japanese civics all came with a road flare in the footwell of the car.
