Ok let me preface this with I am a noob when it comes to car engines. Ok I think that this may be a belt problem but I am not sure.

When the rpm's hit around vtec area while in first and I push in the clutch for 2nd there is like a lil psst noise coming form under the hod. It is similar to a quiet and less obvious bov. Then when I hit the area in 2nd it does the same thing but I don't have to put in the clutch. The tach will be climbing and the go psst and then keep on climbing. THere was even one time where instead of the half second pssst...it went psssssssssssttttttttttttt for about 4 seconds and while it was doing it the rpms stayed where they were. However it doesn't happen in third or fourth though. It feels/sounds like a loose belt or something but I don't know that much, much obliged for any help.

Yeah the engine blew up and I died my parents were upset but nothing too big, thanks for all the help
