Default Supercharger Belts Breaking

I have a supercharged 00' civic and have been having a problem where the alternator/supercharger belt is breaking. It has happened 2x now and I just replaced the alternator before the second one. Anyone got any ideas?

thats what happens when you have a supercharger, just get good at changing them and always carry a spare or 2

try loosening it just alittle bit. not to much or you will throw belts allday. and also what ef4life said, "just get good at changing them and always carry a spare or 2."

the general rule with belts is that at the middle of the longest length between pulleys the deflection should be 1/2 inch when one presses down on it.
i bought cheap belts once and they did not last long. some places sell lifetime guaranteed belts.
but, this post is about belts in general; specifically, i am not familiar with the belts used for superchargers.
