Timing belt

RE: Timing belt
unfortunately I don't think so..... Unless theres some papers that came with the car that shows it's been done. If it's nice and shiny that might indicate that it's relatively new. Any cracks, dry spots or any other sign of wear I would be very careful and get it replaced immediately. This is just my opinion if your worried you prolly should get it done regardless... I did when I bought mine from a private seller. it was just above 90k so I figured it hadn't been changed.

RE: Timing belt
well what i did was INSPECT the belt... if the belt looks smooth or anything messed up looking THAN SWAP IT OUT...
but if its got a cross pattern on the inside of the belt then depending on dept of the pattern on the inside of the belt can show ya how good it probably is...
i got a motor for my 94project civic and its belt was worn almost smooth on the inside, it was definatly preaty old.... if you dont see a preaty good pattern on the teeth then swap it out....
or if just in doubt.... just swap it out... its only like 40bucks for a new OEM belt.... buy off ebay cheaper than dealership.... as long as its OEM its the same thing...
