Default Tire Pressure Monitoring System question...

I recently purchased my 7th Honda, a 2008 EX sedan, and am looking at replacing the stock 16" wheels with the Si's 17" wheels. My question is, what needs to be done to still use the TPMS if I get Si wheels from '06'-'07? From what I can tell, the TPMS is only on the '08 models. Please correct if I am wrong and tell me what needs to be done to the wheels if I am right. Thanx.

Also, where is a good place to get the stock Si wheels at a good price? Thanx again.

Since this is such a new technology (and pointless one imo) i'd check with the dealership for more information on this.

the tpms is 08 up and if i'm not mistaken your dealer should be able to switch yours in to the si wheels

but with larger wheels, the sensor could get faulty readings. I guess it depends on how the system works. I have a Windstar that has a similar low pressure warning. Would altering this affect the bumper to bumper warranty?

larger wheels shouldn't make a difference, don't know about fords warranty but honda is lenient on wheels just check with your dealership. oh forgot si wheels on a lx or ex can rub the brake caliper so you might need 3mm wheel spacers
