Tricky auto trans

Default Tricky auto trans

my transmission in my 95 honda civic dx seemed as it were gone in the summer? Its november going into december now it shifts fine with excellent power after sitting since july would anyone happen to know why this is ? Do i need another trans or somekind of part this amazes me its a 95 honda civic DX 1.5 automatic

Why did you think it was bad in the summer. My guess is the transmission gods are looking out for you. Drive it.

I am not exactly sure on how to do this since I have only owned/worked on 5sp Civics. But I would at least suggest to drain the trans fluid and replace it with Honda ATF.

Thanks i did notice the transmission whines alot in the morning in the summer also in the summer it just would not shift it would start out and revv up like it wanted to shift.I did check the Auto trans fluid it is not burned its redish still.I will change the fluid and see if that makes a difference.
