Troubles,troubles,troubles
Okay. First off let me say I don't know alot about Hondas, I'm just learning on my g/f's Honda from Hades. It's a 99 DX. There's several issues but I'll start with the most pressing. I get a call from her this morning saying her car is acting weird. Odometer, speedometer, tach aren't working. Temp. gauge is acting funny. Blinkers work intermittently. Car bucks and acts like its going to cut out. When she parked it at work and tried to re-start it, it wouldn't. Most of this stuff, if it happened on my Ranger, would tell me my speed sensor is bad. Or if I was real lucky I had an open relay or fuse to track down. Oh yeah, her radio doesn't work either.
The other issue is that it is throwing, and has been throwing, a code for the MAP sensor. I don't recall what it is off the top of my head. I pulled the code myself with my OBD-II scanner. Her gas milage went from great to awful when it started. Trying to find a cheap, used MAP to try replacing it.
If this is in the wrong place, I hope one of the kind mods will shepard it on its way. Otherwise, hellllpppppp! Thanks

RE: Troubles,troubles,troubles
your g/f's car, huh? bucks and wants to cut out? won't start? is there gas in the tank? :P
joking aside, check the alternator, relays, and then the speed sensor & map sensor.
electrical gremlins are the hardest to track down, it's frustrating i know, but stick with it, don't try to be too logical about it, and a solution should surface.
