Default Unsteady Steering at Freeway Speeds

It seems like at freeway speeds (approximately 65-80MPH) the car gets blown sideways by even relatively weak winds (including the wind put off by semis). It causes me to end up nearly getting pushed into other lanes unless I am very careful to stay in the center of the lane (and this is a task in itself as I am constantly being forced towards the sides). The car also seems to follow the shape of the road a lot more than past cars I have driven. The higher the speeds, the more easily it seems to veer.

I haven't had a chance to try driving any other coupe 96-2000 civics, but I wasn't sure if this is just the way the car is because it is so small/light, or if there are possible problems with the steering mechanism that cause it to veer. I have had the alignment done, although this did not seem to help the issue at all. There are also no signs of the CV boot being torn if this could cause the symptoms.

Is this normal, is there anything I should be looking for to be at fault?

Check the tie rods, ball joints, and struts/shock absorbers.
