valve adjust what 1000s should they be?

i have a 1994 honda civic with a 1.5 sohc.i did a new water pump, timming belt, altanater ,belts,cold air,strut bar,changed oil & filter,plugs,cap,rotor,did not do plug wires yet,fuel filter,and have a 5 speedtranny to put in with 80k on it all set up thats later now the valves.
i would like to set my valves to make sure that there right i dont have any probs with it running but i hear a miss with it when i first start it so the 1000s were to set them at would help alot thanks russ
