Default valve springs

I have a b16a engine, im planning on getting crower stage 1 camshafts, At first i was going to buy type r valve springs and retainers, but i switch to either crower valve springsand retainers or blox. Any ideas as to whichone of the two valve springs and retainers i should get and deliver the best quality in performance?

Default RE: valve springs

Crower has been around a long time so they make some quality products, but personally, if I were going through the trouble of replacing the cams and spring/retainers, I wouldn't bother with a stage 1. If you think you may turbo in the future, go stage2, but if you are gonna stay NA go ahead and get the street/strip cams. The driveabilty doesn't suffer near as much as some people would have you believe andit's not gonna be loping at idle like a dragster.
