When i start the car and the car takes off i hear a vibrating sound coming from under the front end. this only happens when i initially take off and not afterwards. what is it

what year?

Mine's a 98 lx and the rattling sound was from a heat shield that came lose b/c of rust. I bought 2 muffler clamps and clamped them down. it could be a heat shield that has rusted out.

sorry, its a 2004 LX.
it only does it the first time i take off after turning the car on

Vibrating sound like a rattling? Metal against metal? Or is it just a vibrating through the whole car that you actually feel?

yes a vibrating sound like/or grinding of metal to metal

If it sounds really tinny it almost has to be a heat shield. Drive the car up on ramps and get underneath (while the engine is cold and not running) and shake stuff around to see if you can duplicate the noise.

i dont know i just got the car a month ago. it only does it when i turn on the car and take off for the first time. its a vibrating sound from i think the front end.
