Washer motor/pump location??
Okay guys, I'm pulling my hair out right now try to find this fawking thing!! I have a 98 LX. The washer reservoir is fawking buried under cruise mod., clutch cyc., and a/c oilier it looks like. I can barley see wires coming from the bottom side up to the bottle, and I assuming the pump is down there on the bottom side of the bottle. 1) Am I right or not? 2) If I am, how do you get to it? Take the inner fender out?
I know that with my old tercel,(i know it is different but it might be a shot) if you take off the wheel on the side with the fluid bottle, and remove the inner fender you should have direct access to it there. as for the part if you dont have one you can pick an aftermarket one up for about $35CAD(don't knwo what it would be american)
I believe you are correct. Mine wasn't working after I had a collision with a road marker barrel and the wheel well liner had to be removed in order for me to get home. The wires where unhooked from the pump which was located just forward of the driver side wheel. I hooked it back up and viola, good to go!!!!
i no theres a wiring harness thing on the side of the windshield washer reviser near the bottom of the car on my 2000, the way to access it the easyist would be to take the front bumper off...im not sure if thats what your looking for but i no that harness can get really gumed up
thanks for the replies, highly apperciate it! come tomorrow I'm going to take the inner fender out and see if I can get to it from there. I'll let you all know how it goes, and for sake of future reference. Thanks again!
It's soooooo much easier to just take the bumper off. Two screws in the wheel wells, two screws and two bolts on the bottom and the clips between the headlights on the top and it slides right off.
Oh, I believe the pump is attached to the side of the resivor, you'll be able to get to all that really easily with the bumper off.

I have done a lot of work on my vehicles, tons as matter of fact. But what I'm afraid of is taking this skin/bumper off and not being able to line it back up the same way it came off. Is there much to it, or does it just go right back on again with no problems? Sorry for all the q's but I have never done this with a honda or any other car, and have never seen it done. Bumpers on trucks and jeeps I have no problems with.

Here's a tip: when you take it off, duct tape the foam piece to the metal bumper before you put the cover back on, it's less of a pain that way.
