I found a used one on Ebay but it is for a 95 d16z6. Is there a difference in the parts for the different engines? I have a 94 D15B7

Finally fixed the problem. Ordered a new FITV and replaced that first. Made no difference.
Found a used IACV on Ebay for $20 and took a chance on that. Installed this evening and it seems to be working OK. Hope that fixes it as I don't want to have to order a new TB.

Thanks for everyone's assistance.

Not sure if the 98s are the same, but I would pull the FITV off and make sure it is adjusted correctly, and pull the IATV off and clean it well. Both could be an issue.

It is a fast idle throttle valve. It is supposed to regulate the idle when the engine is cold. On the 94 it is located on the bottom of the TB. The IATV is located on the back side of the TB.

hi guys, I'm new here just bought my 1st Civic it's a 98 LX Sedan auto 1.6L with 125k on it. Problem is car starts idles at 2k for like 5 sec then bounces from 1k to 2200, when i put it in gear it idles steady at 1200 or so. Keep in mind i just picked this up and have only owned it for a few days. I pulled the MAP code so fixed that then it with the code for the IATV fixed that. Now it's back to the original code P1399 Ignition/Misfire....
Things i did so far.
IATV, MAP,Plugs+wires, cap and rotor, coil, air filter, I also sprayed carb cleaner around the intake to see if it was leaking. I checked all the vacuum hoses i could see. Just want to know if anyone has any ideas for me before i go buy a Distributor and timing belt.. Any clues?????
Thanks in advance.
