Hi,

I have a 90 dx hatch, it will start and idle forever, but when I rev it up to about 3000 rpm after about90 seconds it will shut off and it won't restart. I took the cover off the throttle body and tried using starting fluid, and it still would not start. I'm getting fuel to the throttle body as well. After I let the car sit for a few hours it will restart, and do the same thing.

When did you replace air filter last time?

 

I replace all the filters, and the fuel pump less than 2000 miles ago, bye the way I didn't have this problem until I parked the car for 4 months.

 

Did you try to look at spark plugs right after it shuts off?
Is it doing this hot or cold or both?

 

it does it both hot and cold, and no I havent looked at the plugs, but they have less than 5000 miles on them.

 

What I'm thinking - it may be running extremely rich for some reason. If you check the plugs and they are wet, then you know you have to dig in this direction

 

does anyone know what the error codes are, my ecu light is flashing 15 times.

 

I dont know what that code is. But i know the fuel pump relay is known to be faulty. If that helps at all.
