WEIRD THROTTLE PROBLEM

when i turnmy car on, the rpm's jump all the way up to 6,000 rmp n it stays there..the engine revs high and it seems like the throttle is somehow stuck..im not sure what the problem is but i need help with this! thnx

Could be a vaccum leak.. could be vaccum hoses not in the right spots, check the throttle cable as well. Have you done anything to your car before this happend?

check to see that the throttle is not all clogged up
