when i hit a bump the steering column shakes and rattles... doesnt do it while driving on smooth roads or at high speeds just on the rougher stuff... has new tires, doesnt seem to have any suspension problems.. alignment is ok..

any ideas?

did it start after the new tires were installed ??? it sounds like your getting bump steer.

 

I dont really know i just got the car with the new tires on it... is there anything i can do about that? or could it be something else?

 

Are you sure it is the steering column? where is the noise coming from? where are you feeling the vibrations from?
