yeah i've come to see that the EM1 and EP3 options are kind of off topic now hehe, but B-series engines are a wise option and i find them better than D-series. (not saying there better, just that i think they are)

I agree with supersize about the EM1 (stated in your project thread), I'd be too worried about someone wanting to steal it. EP3s aren't a favorite of mine.

Also, your insurance will probably go up from totaling the Civic, I chose the cheapest to insure from your list in the poll, too.
very true, thanks for pointin it out cvcrcr99 n supersize about gettin stolen. civics are #1 vehicles that are stolen where i live lol (everywhere too i guess, must be a helms manual on how to break into one)

and i just want to get things straightened out, i didn't go through with insurance i dont have full coverage i have the cheapest just to get buy kind..(should of thought about that before i got the car -_- anyways)

EJ8's are cheap, easy to slam, have one of the best single-cam engines honda has made, and parts are cheap and easy to find (HF manifold, anyone?). Not to mention the b16a2 creates 7 ft*lbs of torque more than the d16y8. That's not a lot.
even boosted y8's aren't surpassing the b16a2's tho right?

would i be able to swap a y8 head onto a y7 block in a hatch? i know you can with a coupe but there's no difference right? (kinda stupid to ask but just re-clarifyin)

and yeah that's true, but most efs and egs i see for sale look like garbage. the clean ones are easy the same price as the clean eks if not even more.

DF's are too old and come with too many problems... Eg's are simply better.

And you can mini me anything non vtec honda makes... and a boosted D is a lot better than a stock 1.6 liter b series

Edit:: Nobody try and correct me on the mini me ish, lol just making a point.

lol no it wouldnt be RHD and a jdm b18b isnt rare, i was gonna trade my hatch for an integra with a b18b swap. those motors are slow as hell, mitch showed me the HP rating for them, their beat.. dont waste your money on it

go with an EJ8, boost the y8.

D series + 10lbs will turn you out.

ps the b18b is a 1.8l engine thats what the two numbers stand for in honda engine codes, its the displacement of the engine. d16XX = 1.6 liters b16XX = 1.6 d15XX =1.5
