I gave my 98 civic over to a stealership for a timing belt, water pump, valve job. They left the radiator cap off and it was driven for a few days before my wife noticed that the vents stopped putting out heat at stoplights and a coolant smell.
What might be damaged? They're signing something before I leave tomorrow [:@]

If the engine did not overheat, then the engine is probably fine. If the engine overheated, then you may have problems down the line.
