Well if it was done that way, he still would not have VTEC fuel and timing maps, correct?

If he had a good tuner, he could. The tuner could tune the chip for the whatever RPM the VAFC engages Vtec and leave the fuel curve alone on the VFAC so it doesnt affect the map on the chip.

A good tuner would have just added the VTEC components into the ECU and never messed with a VAFC

thats besides the whole point of this thread Stu.........

I never said a P75 with a VAFC was a "good" choice, just stating it could be done. I only asked about the VAFC because that sure as hell looks like a VAFC/SAFC harness to me and since he does have a P75 it made sense of having a VAFC on top of it.

Well I was just expressing that I doubt the chip has the VTEC maps on it because a tuner who would know to do that probably wouldn't use a VAFC to activate it. Which is why I recommend that he either get a P28 or convert the P75 to a P28 or P72 or whatever

umm ok well what do u guys think? that harness has 2 wires on the end blue and oj, the other end taps into those wires and then leads thru the firewall.. its dark as hell out ill check tmorrow where it leads in the engine bay, but i have a feeling it goes into the harness..... soo even if i get a new ecu do you think i can just plug it in or do u think the whole car is effed>>?

yea we really need to know where that wiring harness I circled in that picture goes to. Take as many pics as you can.

ok so i thinks i rad the wires right but here we go
on ecu:
blue4
green6
white3
Black: A4
Brown: A6
Red:A17
Gray14
Orange21
Purple22
Under hood:
black: goes to little clip on vtec sylenoid then goes under that cap thingy
Green+red: goes to vtec lookd like oil sender unit
Yellow purp gray and brown all go to o2 sensor
