hey, about 3 weeks ago i heard some squeaking, i just bought the car back in december, so i changed the timing belt, tensioner and water pump. so everything was good until today, now after driving all day today the damm squeaking is back. the same 1 i heard before i changed everything, what could it be?

like say the car is still, i rev it up to 4k, and immediately after i let go of the gas. you hear the squeak for a couple seconds. and it does the same thing while driving. after 3 or 4k. you can hear it.[/align]

 

altenator try sparying some wd40 on it see if thast helps

 

Good thing i seen you said that. I got a whining noise.... I havent changed my timing belt and water pump. Just bought my car in january.

to the point: You got any tips/tricks for changing the 2? First time doing it, dont want to mess it up. Thanks

oh, btw the techs at my work said dont use a belt dressing or anything like that for squeaky noises. Use kitchen clean ex: AJAX, comet... etc..

 

nothing wrong with belt dressing, kitchen cleaners are corrosive and contain many chemicals that aren't the best for rubber and belts in general. try inspecting ps pump (if applicable)

 

checked out everything today while doing my tune up, and everything looks good except for alternator belt. its kinda cracked up and ****. would something stupid like that really cause it to squeak that much?

 

could be the brake problem? brake pad worn out, piston sticking, bla blah...
