Default will a hatchback nose fit sedan?

We have a 1987 4-door civic sedan with a crumpled nose and are wondering if any hatchback or other sedan years would fit. Thanks in advance.

does it have a 12valve or 16 valve engine.....is it the model with the small square hood and a front grill.....4drs. have their own type of fenders, corner lights, front bumper on 88 models and up not sure about the 84-97 models i have a 85 crx si fuel injected. very rare real jdm model has factory 3in throttle body and black corners-bumper lights.

it's a 12 valve engine. don't know what constitutes "small square hood" as I don't have anything to compare it to, but it does have a very narrow grill with one "grill" or piece of plastic going along it. we'd like to take a whole nose off a hatchback and put it on this sedan. The engine is fine/no damage - just cosmetic damage to the nose/hood/passenger fender.

well i was trying to figure out if it was more like the 88-91 models or the 84-87 but the "12 valve" engine answers my question. you have to find another 4dr. they have their own style fenders, corner lights, bumper because they are wider. coupes and hatchbacks have the same.
but u got me thinking u can change hood, grill, headlights with no problem.the bumper u cant.if u change the fenders you'll have to change the corner lights with it.
does this help you???

I'd like to take the whole nose at once if possible, but if it my sedan is wider it will not fit. I could probably use just the fenders and hood from the hatchback if they would fit but it does not sound like it will. We know 84 - 87 sedans are the same. I guess we'll just wait til one of those comes up. We found one but it is pricey. We'd pay the price if it was the right color. If we pay the big bucks and then paint it we'd be better off getting a newer model for the same money. Thanx for the help.
