window trim
i have a 96 civic ex coupe. the trim on the outside at the bottom of the driver and passenger window is starting to dryrot and come off. its a metal strip with some black rubberizd coating. did/does anyone else have this problem and if so what can i use to touch it up. im thinking about using some black silicon, but dont want it to look like crap
Just had both of mine replaced. I have a 96 Civic EX coupe. The parts for both the rubber pieces were about $60 and installation another $80. It's pretty hard to get it in there. But if you know what you are doing, I'd just go to the dealer to buy the parts and install them yourself to save $80.
Good luck!
Good luck!
i have same problem with mine all the rubber coating is peeling off the metal strips, i was thinking about taking these off sanding them all down and respaying with a silicone based paint, the hard part looks like getting them off with out bending them
buy new ones..if its not to bad, you can buy this stuff called "back to black"
