Default windows

i have a 96 honda civic ex. 3 of my 4 windows work. the right rear window is stuck down. i took the unit out of the the door and plugged it into the left electric plug and it works. everything from the right door works in the left door. i think it is electrical. fuse is fine. i replaced the master control unit and that did not solve the problem. is there anything i may bei may be missing?

The right rear window switch is likely bad. Here's how to test:

I used that switch on the left rear window and it is able to rollthe left window up and down. I also took out the regulator from the right and plugged it into the left and it works - or at least it moves up and down without the window attached. Will the weight of the window affect the regulator? As in - it works alone outside the door, but if I attach it to the door and put the window on, then it may not have enough power to push the weight up? How do I use your chart to test the window? Do I connect 1 and 3 if my window is stuck in the down position?

I agree. It sounds like the switch is fine.

1) Check whether the right rear window may be binding in the side channels. If so, some silicone lubricant in the channels may solve the problem.

2) Is battery voltage detected at the connector attached to the right rear window switch when the ignition key is turned ON? If not, supply power directly to the right rear window motor to test whether it can properly move the window up and down.

On your picture, if i connect the 1-4 and the 2-3. Will that roll up the window? How can I suppply power directly to the window. Can I just connect the left switch with wires to the right? I will get a volt meter and check the window out as well..thanks...I guess stay tuned...

No, the disconnected switch cannot communicate with the window circuit.

How can I supply power directly to the window
Disconnect the window motor connector. Attach any convenient hot wire to one terminal of the motor and ground the other terminal to the door frame. Reverse polarity to move window motor in opposite direction.

Can I just connect the left switch with wires to the right?
Yes, if you can manage it.

The circuit diagram may also help you:

Are you sure the wiring between the door and the frame of the car that flexes every time the door opens and shut is alright? Its tricky to check but the copper breaks inside the plastic outer cover!

Sounds like if its not the wiring, its gonna be the motor. They usually start slowing down when they are gonna get messed up, so it sounds like it cant lift the window anymore.
