Default A wire is broken

I have a 1987 Honda Civic stationwagon, manual transmission, 1.5L engine, front wheel drive, 340K miles. When I was doing some transmission and clutch work I broke/cut one wire. The wire comes from a cable with four wires in it (4 wires wrapped with plastic tape). Out of four wires two go to a thermosensor beneath the distributor, one goes to a temperature gauge beneath the distributor and next to the temperature gauge towards the back, the last one is the broken one. I can't find other end of the wire connection in its perimeter.

Then the problem was that idle was too low. So I adjusted the idle screw to increase the idle to 1500RPM. Even so the car dies quite often when idling.

Thanks for answering. Hope someone has a same car would be able to help me. Thanks in advance.

I think that the other wire goes to the oxygen sensor on the exhaust manifold. Is it carburetor or fuel injection?
