are you serious???????

thats your crank pulley!
your missing the square key also so be sure to get that before reinstaling the pulley... that pulley keeps your timing belt from slipping off also so DO NOT DRIVE IT until you fix it!!!!!!!!
the pulley also powers your alternator, power steering, and if equiped AC compressor.

something like this... right on the far left/drivers side of the motor.

its what i said it was the crank pullley. you need that!!!!!!!

if you had your timing belt replaced recently then the shop did not tighten the crank pulley enough!!!!! just be glad you found the bolt and pulley...

but i would highly sugget replacing the accessory belts since they probably got torn to hell when it came off.

DO NOT DRIVE THE CAR THAT WAY!!!!!!!!

if you need to drive it somewhere DONT. if the timing belt tries to work its way off it can and will not only cut into the timing belt cover it could destroy the timing belt with it grinding on the cover melting the belt causing even more problems!

the square key you can buy at ANY hardware store..... just buy several sizes and lengths.
there is a slot on the crankshafts end that they key will go in and a slot on that crank pulley. just use the right size key that will fit. just use a square key not the half dome shaped keys. and then just tighten the crank pulley bolt back into the motor... and if you have a manual trany then put it in 1st gear with the Ebrake or someone on the brake pedal holding it firm and then tighten down the crank bolt.

o ya if ya just bought the car from someplace or someone. call them now and make them come out and fix it!!!!!!! thats some BS if you just bought the car.... or tell them you want your money back... if they did that stupid theres no telling how much else they did stupid to the car!

well for new accessory belts maybe 20-30bucks for the 3 belts, alternator, power steering, and AC.

its not a really hard fix... the biggest pain will be tightening the alternator belt up since the alternator is a PITA to tighten up. everything else is pretty easy to adjust and tighten up.

i wouldnt know how much it would cost because i would fix it myself. maybe a 2hour job for a shop so depends on there rates. and also depends if the shop tries to screw you!

i could do it in an hour myself.
