if you have a basic set of tools you can do it yourself! in a afternoon.... you just need the new belts and that sqaure key. just depends how comfortable you are with your tools.

needless to say i HIGHLY SUGGEST you buy a haynes manual for your car. its a HUGE HELP. and it tells you how to tighten the belts and any future work you might need or want to do yourself. and im sure we can help you out on this site

ya he is only hand tightening the crank bolt. problem with that is he is not geting any god torque on it since the motor will turn still.

which is why i said to put the car in 1st gear and have someone hold the brakes and then tighten the crank bolt.
otherwise you have to use a good air impact gun to get enough torque on it without turning the motor over.

What addiction said will work (must be manual transmission of course). Though use 4th gear, the higher the gear, the lower the increase of torque from the engine to the wheels. But I don't like using 5th because the 5th gear is on the end of the shaft kind of as an afterthought.

Tightening the crank bolt by hand requires a LONG lever arm on the wrench. Like about 3 feet. Proper tightness is more than 400 foot-lb if I remember. So use the 3 ft lever and put all your weight on it.

Also before you put the pulley back on inspect the timing belt; if the edges are chewed up at all, install a new one.
