89 Civic Spark Problem :S
so yesterday im driving along and it dies. I do a bunch of checks(fuel, spark) and see that there is no spark. Looks like the Coil malfunctioned. (checked with ohm meter) so i replace the coil and it starts up right away. so i'm letting it idle and it dies...once again no spark...checked coil and its fine..
anyone had this problem before? or any ideas what else to check?
thanks, Mike

um...isnt the coil in the distributor? somthing caused your coil to fail....im not to familiar with that old of an igntion system...but i would check your dizzy, replace the coil if its not working agian..(which it will prolly still work) and if the plugs and wires are old...you outta replace them too just becuase. good luck with getting it running agian.

RE: 89 Civic Spark Problem :S
yeah it is in the dizzy. plugs are about a month old. Wires probably could use a good change. And with the coil, i tested it before i put the new one in, and i tested it now that the car is not starting and it reads the exact same. I dont think the wires would be causing no spark seeing as it started up first try after the new coil.
also my ECU is throwing an error code. 10 flashes of the ecu light...error code 10? not sure what that is exactly though if i makes any difference.
