94 civic broke down
Hello,
This is my first time here and I am not sure how this works.
I have a 94 4-door Civic - All power-Atomatic; it just died while driving down the road.
I've ruled out the alternator since all the lights were/are still working @ time of shutdown.
All of a sudden @ 20-25 mph, it jerked once then all the dash lights came on and it felt like it was rolling on neutral.
Upon coming to a complete stop, it just died.
This happened right after I finished pumping gas @ my regular gas spot. When I turn the ignition to try and start it, it just sounds like it's out of gas.
Does anyone know what may be the problem??
Thanks,
Enic

RE: 94 civic broke down
sounds like one of the few things i could think of, timing belt went out which i hope not cuz you tried to start it and mightve bent the shaft, fuel pump, line, if you have power to turn it, its not the alternator

Possibly timming belt.... and pray it isn't, sounds what happened to me with my old corolla.. fortunately for me Toyotas have non-interference engine so it doesn't damage the valves when the timming belt blows into a million pieces
