I have had a 4 door LX sedan on order since 1 Nov of last year. Color is Tango red and I ordered the car with a manual transmission. My dealer gets a production date from Honda and then three days later they push it back another 3-5 days. dealer told me he has contacted his rep several times but I stilll do not have a VIN number and the production is pushed back again. Dealer further states he does not believe it is a color issue but just in case I gave him the option to order one in Atomic Blue or Silver. Still no car.
Does anyone have any idea why the factory will not build this car for me?

 

try some different dealers..sounds like there screwing you around

 

I honestly don't think the dealer is messing with me. He has showed me the print out showing the production date(S). And then in 3-5 days he can show me where it has been pushed back. He told me he suspected it was something to do with the manual transmission.

 

don't they have any other similar cars on the lot with a manual? it could be that a lot of other people ordered cars to and there is a demand for them so production could be pushed back for a lot of people.

the problem lies in the four door catagory, i searched google and found many coupes with standard trans and none in four door. the coupe comes standard with a five speed overdrive, seats five people

 

Also the new civs are in high demand

It will be hard to find a 4 dour manual especially. I myself have seen only one in a 2000 Vp that I though was mine once. It was in my parking lot. I even opened the door, sat in the car looked around saying to myself "wtf? is somebody playing a joke on me?" Then it dawned on me it wasnt my car and I saw mine to the left of it. lol

 

I would think that it should not take THREE MONTHS!
