why? I'm not sure about other states, but in cali you would not be able to pass emission test. Anyways, the swap should be pretty straight forward, just swap and play. You have to swap ecu's has well.

the z6 and y8 are almost the same just the odb1 and 2 difference. just hop up the y8 use the money that u would use to buy a z6 on parts
it is kinda a worthless swap unless the z6 u are using is already built for performance. and if u want and odb1 ecu just buy a conversion harness.

The y8 intake mani is better and the z6 head is better but its nothing that crazy so save the money and buy some mods for the y8. Actually if your looking to sell either pm me

when i swapped i used the intake from the y8 to make things eisier plus the extra hp i had to cut the wires on the distributer and splice the obd2 conection on the obd 1 distributer, because the mounts are different between distributers, but everything else matches up, u have to use the obd 2 wire harness because the conections over by the driverside buy the master cylinder are different and none of your internal components like heat radio and stuff will work (or so i was told) the only connection that doesnt swap was the crank sensor and if ou bu the obd 2 to obd1 conversion harness that connects between the wire harness and the ecu you can run an obd1 ecu and it should run. hope this is the info you were looking for
