Default First service advice

I have just over 5000 miles on my new 2006 Honda Civic. My engine oil life is 15 %, and the service indicator light has come on. Should I take my car to the dealer for its first service, or should I try to save a few bucks and have the service done at a reputable garage.

Same here... You should call your dealership and try to get a free oil change. Just tell them to quit being cheap bastards.

im very surpised that the new 8th gen service indicators are not a-tuned for synthetic. I would strongly reccommend that you switch over to it.

I am running synthetic oil in it now. In addition to the oil change, I plan on getting the tires rotated. I just might buy a new air filter myself and slap it on. That will save a few bucks.
