Default Greetings

I have a 1994 Honda Civic DX Hatchback. I came here hoping I could get some help.

My civic is guzzling oil. Probally about 1-2 quarts a week. I've heard several things thus far from people I know. I'm curious to hear somethings from others as to what the problem is and what I should do.

This car is not smoking black or blue smoke and it doesn't have a leak to the outside. The car is running smooth and have no other problems other than this. I've dropped Lucas in it with my oil change 2 weeks ago. Oh yeah I also have 160,000 miles on it.

If a new engine is in order, I would like to get something better than the stock engine, does anyone have any suggestions as to what I could drop in there if this was the case?

Thanks

you can pretty much put anything in it... you might have to do some work to get them in, motor mounts, wire harnesses, ecu's and what not... but just depends on how fast you want to go, and how much you want to spend

ok... I'm looking in the range of 1000-2000 if it's a possibility. I done need tons of power but a decent amount is always nice to have. Low milage is ideal.

well you can get a sohc vtec, like the d16y8 or d16z6 for pretty cheap.... like 500 or under... then you could go up to like a b16a probably for that much (under 2000)... thats the dohc vtec...
