Finally I have found something to make my engine almost "bulletproof"
Its a Gude head setup...comes with:
Ported and Polished head
Larger throttle body
Camshaft
My choice of cam

Its a guaranteed 45-55 increase in HP. What do you guys think?

 

i am lokking at a head package for my car too, but i am now leaning toward a turbo. i hear they use regrinds for their cams, but i haven't seen any hard evidence of that. but for me a regrind is a big turnoff

 

That will not make your engine close to bulletproof. Honda heads shouldnt be ported and polished, they should be polished and have a 3 angle valvejob.....the ports are close to perfect......are they going to use your stock valvesprings and retainers when they install the cam? Some cams will not allow that so expect to pay more money for springs and retainers........as far as 45-55 horsepower.........it could happen if you got an engine management system and had it tuned for these new additions.....if u dont mind me asking.....how much are they charging you for this...........



Just a little more helpful info.......when someone says they made their engine bulletproof they are usually talking about the bottom end.......Forged pistons/forged rods and a sleeved block.....thats more towards bulletproof......a FULLY BUILT engine would include all those parts as well as the build Cylender Head too.......Im guessing the price tag on this package is going to be too much though.........keep us posted, and if you have any questions do not hesitate to PM me.

They are charging $1650 for the whole package...Any info will be great

 

too much money........id buy a turbo kit before i did that......running 6psi on a good tune will produce better numers.
