Hi everyone,
My name is Brent and I just wanted to introduce myself and say hello. I drive a '99 silver sedan with 300, 000 km's on it, so you should expect to see me post in the maintainence section quite often!
I am fairly new to working on cars, but I do have an '89 BMW that I restored from a $400 beater, so I am learning.
Now that the BMW is 'finished' (I don't think projects ever really are!), I have turned my attention to the Civic. We put a 'new' motor in about 80, 000 km ago that had 80, 000 on it at the time. Yesterday I replaced the battery, upper control arm, lower ball joint and outer tie rod (all passenger), and I just did all the brake pads and rotors. Future plans include rust clean up and touch up paint around the bottoms of the doors and rear quarter panel just above the wheel well. So I'm looking forward to getting some good advice and hopefully giving some as well!
