no so many different people have told me different things, i want to cut out my catalytic converter and replace it with 2 1/2 inch tubing but i dont know what the ups and downs are.....ive gotten to much of a variety of answers to be positive on just one.....help me out please!

If you live in a state with inspections I suggest not cutting out your cat. If it were me I would get a high flow cat because just using a pipe is too loud for my taste.

agreed..for the amount of power that you get from cutting your cat out its not worth it unless your driving an all out race car or somthing and need every horse you can get...get a high flow, will be just as good and you dont have to worry about inspections or getting in trouble

im really not to worried about inspection problems because my dad is the cheif of police where i live, and i have a 19t turbo and ive just herd that straight piping it will give me a few extra horses.....

i suggest buying a whole new exhaust. maybe 3" pipe from manifold back..i dont know much about turbo set ups but i hear 3" piping for them is good for getting the most power.

i have 2 1/2 inch piping all the way back from my header, i would rather not go through all the troubles of switcing to a 3 inch pipe for just the extra 1/2 inch
