the civic actually belongs to my sister right now, i drive an 03 hyundai tiburon gt, but my sister is graduating this year, and my dad is buying her a new car for graduation, so my parents are giving me the civic as a project car. tonight i was thinking about buying a tachometer (since the car doesnt come with one) can anybody tell me which wire to hook it up to? i tried searching, but didnt find anything. i really appreciate it guys!

what i would do is just pull the gauge cluster from a car with a tach so that way you wont have a big monster tach and it should be plug and play.

 

i was thinking about doing that, but ive visited most of the car junkyards around here, and surprisingly, i havent found anything, thats why i was resorting to this. i dont really mind having the tach up there, its only 3 3/8", its not a monster tach. does anybody know how hard it is to pull the dash out of the civic?

 

Go to: car-part.com You will be able to find one there for cheap. That part is definitely small enough that any of those salvage yards will ship it to you. Good Luck!!!

 

You don't have to pull the entire dash out just the cluster and "shourd" Its all of about 6 screws. You could even try ebay for the cluster but if the cars a manuel buy a cluster from a manuel and vicea virsa(sp).
