wassup fellas. got myself a 98 civic ex coupe. Bought 17" white rota slipstreams off my big bro.(had a black ep3) Now i wanna slam my ishhh to the ground cuz its ridin like a Jeep Wrangler! lol Only thing is Im a big newbie when it comes to car parts. wanted to know what u would recommend more: coilover or lowering springs. Also about how much would i b looking at for parts and installation

 

hi peoples i would go with coilovers they are ride hieght adjustable if you decide to go with lowering springs make sure you get lowered shocks to or your ride will still be choppy coilovers you would spend around 1000 dollars if you look around and watch ebay lower springs and shocks are useally 200 to 400 dollars for good shocks

 

Hey all! I'm Susan and I'm new here at the forums.
Hubby and I have got a 98 Civic hatchback (purple, of course) with just over 200,000 miles. Manual transmission, no air (in So.Cal! but oh well), no power steering, but it gets great mileage (~39mpg) so we'll keep it until I can't keep it running any more.

It's just getting to the point where I'm needing to do some more stuff than just maintenance, so I'll probably be around here more. I'm currently looking into rebuilding our transmission which will be my first big 'inside' job and I'm rather excited. Any advice, encouragement, or suggestions would be totally welcome...

Hey, joined this forum because it seemed like the most informative of the Honda Civic related boards out there.

I have a 91 Civic DX that I race. Not in the street like you are all thinkin'. I race it on a paved oval track.

I owned a Prelude quite some years ago, but that was it. Already gleaned lots of info from you guys, and will undoubtedly be back continually for more.
