Default hi everyone!

I have recently acquired a honda civic 2000. The previous owner has done some awful modifications to it and I will be trying to revert the changes.

Some of the modifications include
Lower the car by cutting the suspension (an estimate of replacing the springs would be great)
"rigging" the sound system (I see random speakers in the trunk)
Horrible wiring that goes apparently no where (I've taped the ends)

I have a general knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems but have zero practical car knowledge.

I would go get some lowering springs you can check ebay. Are you going to mod the car?

i'm thinking he means cutting the stock springs, sounds like the previous owner would do this. lets see some pics of the car and his rigged sound system

Default Thanks!

Thanks for all the responses. The spring is indeed cut, and not the suspension itself. I will take photos, and post them up as soon as I can. What specific areas should I aim for?

Welcome to the forum.

Give us some overall car shots, then move to problem areas. Take pics of each spring that has been cut, show us the ghetto speaker setup, and show us where the wires are hanging out from.

Here are the photos
Update: the body is lowered not by cutting the spring, but some more complicated method...

in the last pic looks like thats a power wire for the amplifier...look under the hood to see if that same wire is connected to the positive terminal of the battery..

smart to tape it off if it is a power wire..smh @ previous owner for leaving that live and untaped

Thanks, I will check on that. In the mean time, I am really worried about the suspension...winter in canada is abusive...

Also, how do I check if I need to replace my tires.

Another question, The previous owner left me with 4 aluminum rims that are larger (by quite a bit) than the ones on the car right now and the tires on them are thin and are summer tires (I see them on Porsche)...Can I make use of the rims at all?
