Default Hiya! 97 DX with 437 Kms

Hey peeps,
I was just given a 97 DX and it has over 437Kms on it and I am debating how much money to put in this car... It needs a new exhaust manifold, an outer CV boot. My question is should I just buy an axle assembly and should what are there any recommendations for an exhaust manifold?

If it just needs the boot, have a shop replace the boot and repack it with grease. Cheaper than replacement.

An aftermarket exhaust system can likely be fabricated for less than the cost of a replacement OEM exhaust manifold. Personally, I'd get an aftermarket header and go from there.

Autozone remanufactured axles are $60-70. Way worth it to just buy a new axle. The remanufactured ones have a lifetime warranty. It's also faster and easier to just replace the whole axle. Also, if you're been driving with a severely torn boot for a while then the CV joint could be in pretty bad shape.
