Exclamation I need help!

Im thinking about getting rid of my camaro. I was gonna get a notch mustang but I can only find a nice one for around 6 grand. Anyway, I was thinking about gettin a 91 civic hatch and buying a motor straight from japan. I have a friend with a 10 sec 91 eclipse with a the 4g63 motor boosted, I was tinking about following him and finding a decent jap motor, putting in a storker kit and boosting it.
Can anyone please just tell me what would be a good motor to put in a 88-91 civic hatch? how much HP does the stock tranny and front end hold? And what would be a good turbo that I could get aroiund 500 hp with? Idk too much about jap cars so SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME!!

Well unfortunately you be spending alot on the engine to get 500hp. Best engine would be h22, k-20, b18

you need a k24 block with a k20 head with some new pistons and rods in the block, a mild turbo set up using a gt35r turbo with it all in a 91 hatch or crx and you'll be running 11's maybe 10's all day in a 2200lb car
