Hey ..... I am 19 years old I and I LOVE Honda Civics........I am interested in purchasing a Civic but I dont really know what madel to buy. One thing I do know for sure is that i dont want it to be any earlier than a 2000 model, I want something from 2000 and up. I want to buy a civic which will look REALLYYYYY NICE and I also want one which is capable of being really fast. I want it to be a 4 door but I could settle for a 2 door coupe. I really dont like the hatch backs. Can some please help me and tell me which year Civic should I buy and please give me some really good reasons why I should buy it too please......After all its going to be my first car and i plan on spending every last penny on mine on it !!!!!!

 

1999-2000 EX Sedan is your best bet. Anything newer (01-05) will be a pain to do any major mods to.

 

Hry man, good luck on getting a honda, personally after 2000, honda started going downhill with modding and easyiness to take care of it. you might be better off getting something between 1993-2000, but thats my own opinion and your welcome to take it or not. really its not up to us, but rather yourself, cause its your car and if you like it, then get it.

 

If you Want something thats fast i autop think you want a sporty car, if so don't buy a sedan. and make sur eyour engine (if you arent doing a swap) is a DOHC engine.

 

From what I heard from a friend, Civic models after 2000 were engineered to be economy vehicles. I would recommend some of the older models, that is if performance is what you had in mind...

 

If you are looking for a fast car you best bet is the 2000 Honda Civic SI this car has a DOHC B16 engine that comes fast stock. This car also is very easy to fix up and will go fast with the right modifications.

fast as in might be able to beat a honda odyssey minivan. If you want a fast civic (lets just face, they aren't fast, except for maybe a new si) then you will have to swap(or boost). I'm not hating, i own a d16y8, im just saying they aren't that fast in a straight line.(they're still a lot of fun to drive). Good luck with your purchases.

yeah really, there kinda like an adult go kart that you can mod and add to.
there not fast unless u make them and that takes lots of bills
they are fun to drive and there not slow(depending on wich motor it has) but there not an s2000 or nsx either.
