Default Im a newbie

Hi, I just bought a 1998 Civic DX today. I have never owned a honda, but have only heard good things about them, so I thought that I would give it a try. I used to own a 1998 VW golf, but that was just a money hole and so i decided to buy a different car and sell the money hole. I'm new to the whole forum thing, so bear with me if you can. thanks
P.S. my boss named my car "Basil," hence the name...

Also, i'm already looking to modify it, I want to swap out the cluster for an EX cluster to get the tach and keep a clean look, so if anyone knows where to get one other than ebay, that would be awsome...

welcome, and good going on switching from v-dub to honda. my sister currently has an 01 beetle that's also a money hole. she's thinking about an accord now, lol. as for the cluster, it's a straight plug and play installation. and if you get one, all you have to do is change the speedo with your current cluster speedo to retain your correct mileage. as for where to get it, your best bet is a junkyard or ebay.

Thanks, for the welcome. i know I will probably get a biased answer, but since I just bought a 98 civic, I want to be on the largest and most comprehensive forum, so that I can learn and get the most info I can on my car, if and when I need it, so is this one of the largest?
