over heated while running it at high RPMS and cracked the head and fried my pistons. I just want a new engine cause my engine had 185,000 miles on it and fixing it with this many miles i dont think its worh it.

So now that i know the Z6 will mount right in how much work do i have to do cause the z6 is obd1 y8 obd2.do i need to modify it alot. Can you give me an idea.

First off.... Rebuilding the motor allows for you to not referee under the hood. That's just a *****. Basically some guy gets paid way to much to stand at the nose of your car going through everything to tell you just how much stuff isn't 100% perfect. and until it IS 100%, he won't certify the car. At least that was my experience. Second. you'll lose a bit of power if I remember correctly because you're going to an older motor design where in the era people didn't wanna see 200hp from a civic. the aimed for 170s tuned. (D-series bolt-ons.)

The advantage... the z6 is much more tune friendly and depending on what you plan to use the car for, may be better overall. Cheap is nice, but you get what you pay for. I say go big or go home. If you really wanna spring for a new motor.... B18c1. Go big or go home.
