Hello guys I just purchased a 1998 civic with 67,000 miles. All maintenance was done properly and rides like a dream! I checked the oil and it looked a little dirty so I decided to change it. Ive never changed oil before but long story short I raised the car on a bad jack point.

By now, you found out where the lift points are on all hondas by the placement of the jack stands.

I think thats just to add structural strength to the body. Looks fine from here. If you scratched it at all, I'd get it coverd up so it don't rot.

 

What do I cover it up with? Paint?

 

Really anything. Primer, paint, undercoat. Although I just noticed you're from the west coast and probably dont have the rust problems we have in western, Ny
