My name is John I just bought a 95 civic coupe dx, it has 79k miles on it. Its totally stock and has the reg wear and tear. Needs a few trim panels and so on.AC isn't cold other then that it runs well shifts well. I bought it for 2200.

Couple of questions. Did I get a good price? Also is there anything I need to be aware of as far as common problems?

Yes, that was a good price if it is in good running condition.

I would be checking for rust in the rear 1/4 panels, and replacing trailing arms bushings and the timing belt/water pump. Get those replaced and you should be good to go for a while.

 

yea getting it state inspected in the morning. it runs fine. just needs a little cosmetic tlc. did these have a sunroof option. not sure if it is aftermarket or not

 

find out before it rains, i have a bad experience with an aftermarket sunroof in the first rain.... A little silicone sealant around the edge fixed it no problem, just wish i did it before i got the entire interior soaked...

 

Thanks turtle, I'm not sure if its aftermarket or not. It might be an option on this car I'm currently working on finding that out.

 

Legit 79k miles? Hard to find with low miles but could still have the typical age related problems.

 

ita passed inspection axle boots torn need new axles as they are clicking during turns. need speaker pods as only one in the car is in the drivers door. has oil leaks from old valve cover gasket. tune up oil change. brakes are low. then after that it should be good to go. luckily ive worked on cars for a long time i can do the work .

the state inspector said the same thing. " Where the hell did you find a 95 civic with a legit 79k. " guess i just got lucky
