Default Just saying hi

Hi everyone. I just recently bought a used 98 Civic HX 5 speed that will serve as a commuter car for me for about the next 6 to 12 months until my oldest son gets his permit, completes drivers training, and is ready to drive. I found this site while searching for some info on the car.I'm a mechanic(or "technician" as they like to call us these days)at a Toyota dealer. I'm certified as an ASE and Toyota master tech. I have25 years total experience, 10with Toyota. The Honda came in to our dealership as a trade and was just too clean to pass up. It only has 50,000 miles on it and is clean as a pin inside and out. It runsand drives like it's brand new. I did have a question aboutwhether adding a factory keyless entry remote to the car was possible, so if anyone that has a chance could check out this thread: https://www.hondacivicforum.com/m_463536/tm.htmI'd really appreciate it.

Thanks, Johny Welch

P. S.Please don't hold it against me that I work for a Toyota dealer. I'm not particularly brand loyal and I'm well aware that Hondas, and Civics in particular, areamong the longest lasting and most dependable cars out there.
