key can't be removed from ignition switch

Default key can't be removed from ignition switch
I can't remove the key from my 2001 sedan, other than that the car works fine. Any ideas what might be causing this malfuntion?

auto or 5 speed?

I have seen automatics not actually get locked in park all the way, even though it looks as though it is. Try moving the shifter back and forth a bit (if this an auto) that may solve your problem. If you have a 5-speed...I have no idea...

This happened on my fiancee's auto saturn. Had something to do with a wire to the shifter getting knocked loose.
